03.13.06 | 2006 Snowboard Results are in!

Top U.S. snowboard academies competed for top honors March 12, 2006 as Red Bull Schooled: Snowboard returned for its fourth year to the Northeast. Vermont’s Stratton Mountain School won the combined-discipline event consisting of male slopestyle, women’s slopestyle and skateboarding.

Exclusively open to snowboard academies, Red Bull Schooled provided the opportunity for top academies to compete head to head and take away the important title of "top snowboard school." Teams consisted of two male slope style specialists, a women’s slopestyle specialist, and a skating specialist. Teams competed in a best of three run scenario, with the lowest scoring run being thrown out. Judges were looking for technical expertise, use of course, and style/expression.

03.06.06 | 2006 Ski Results are in!

Ski school was in session March 5, 2006 as six of the nation’s top ski academies competed for honors at the inaugural session of Red Bull Schooled: Ski. Of the competing academies, the four students representing Carrabassett Valley Academy (Sugarloaf, Maine) finished at the top of the class with impressive performances from Evan Schwarte, Gabriela Wansker-Krish, M. Banks Gilbert, and Nick Low.

Each team consisted of four athletes with at least one female. Ages of all the Red Bull Schooled competitors ranged from 12 to 18 years old. Judging was based upon three elements: technical expertise, use of course and style/expression. Judges included IJC (International Judging Committee) officials and industry legends.
