Red Bull supports the evolution of snowboarding through a "school" of our own. The first event of it's kind, Red Bull Schooled scoops up the cream of the crop, furnishing the superstars of tomorrow with an opportunity for competition among their peers. While most competition focuses on older established professionals, Red Bull searches deeper and delves into the untapped resource of high school age athletes.

With the largest number of snowboard specific boarding schools in the US, the Northeast is known as the breeding ground of professional snowboarding. Hosting hundreds of students each year, the these private academies foster the champions of tomorrow, producing world-class athletes like Ross Powers, Mark Fawcett, Danny Kass, and Kelly Clark. Unlike traditional schools, these students often begin their careers while still completing their tenure, often beginning competing at the pro and Olympic level in their sophomore and senior years. Red Bull Schooled couples sister sports snowboarding with skateboarding. Hand in hand with snowboarding, skateboarding often serves as the perfect off-season outlet, with athletes such as Danny Kass and Shaun White sharing passion for both sports. In this spirit, a five-foot mini-half-pipe will be set up on snow at the base of the park.

Exclusively open to snowboard academies, 10 teams of 4 athletes have been invited to compete on the snow slope-style. Each team consists of one male snowboarder, one female snowboarder, a snowboarder that skateboards, and a skateboarder. Teams will compete in a best of three run scenario, with the lowest scoring run being thrown out. Judging will be based upon three elements: technical expertise, use of course, and style/expression. Judges include IJC (International Judging Committee) officials and industry personalities. The MC stylings of Burton Team Manager, Carter Olcott will be on hand and other mystery cameos to appear.

Winners will be chosen and prizes awarded as follows:
Highest Scoring Team Snow/Skate: $2,000 tuition scholarship
Highest Scoring Male Snowboarder: 2SI surfboard
Highest Scoring Female Snowboarder: 2SI surfboard
Highest Scoring Male Skateboarder: 2SI surfboard
